Mature Skin

Wrinkles

As you mature, body processes slow down and so does oil production. Once oil production slows down, the skin's ability to maintain adequete hydration diminishes. Once dehydration occurs, little folds in the skin begin to develop thus you have superficial wrinkles! Along with diminshed oil production , collegen which is the protein fibers that act as the skin's scafolding begin to collapse. When collegen fibers collapse you have deep wrinkles. Cosmetically, you cannot stop the aging process, but you can certainly slow it down. The skin needs a balance of oil and water, and in most cases, mature skin is void of both.

To illustrate this example, imagine a dry, balled up piece of tissue being smoothed out on a flat surface. No matter how many times you attempt to smooth it out, it maintains its wrinkles. Now imagine pouring water over it. Guess what happens?!! THE WRINKLES IN THE TISSUE DIMINISH OR EVEN DISSAPEAR!!! The same thing occurs with the skin! As he skin dehydrates, oil and hydration can be restored and maintained through good exfoliation, intensive serums and rich moisturizers. Preserve the skin you're in , use the harmony line for mature skin.
